Thank you for your notes – you guys give me much more than I give you lately. Sometimes when I do sneak a catch up on you people I’m shocked at how much has happened, and embarrassed not to have been supportive in a timely fashion. But it seems like diaryland pages generally are tagged by our system here as potentially containing sexual references. Fortunately they still let me access the site to make entries, otherwise I’d probably have to disappear completely.Nancy’s right though – why keep all that stuff when it could have been so damaging? Because, I suppose, it means so much, is so comforting and pleasing to have to look over. Because it makes what seems so much like a fantasy, immediate and real.
But the reality is that if you horde evidence you can’t be surprsied when you’re found out.
And there comes a time when the balance of risk and reward from the possession has tipped too far towards risk.
Incidentally – in case it wasn’t evident, I believe Jo’s naughty thoughts weren’t really a serious suggestion that we should do anything physical. I think the conversation was a test for me, to see whether the idea was still attractive in concept at least. A check to see whether I’m interested enough to light up at the prospect.
And I think I passed.
