OK - I keep having to apologise for the lack of updates and contact. I’m just sneaking some computer access in now while everyone else (I hope) lies sleeping above me.Since last Thursday I’ve been away from home for most of the time. Friday through to Sunday we were down in Kent for my niece Emma’s wedding. And then no sooner had we returned than I was back out to the airport and down south to a business college for three days and nights. I took my laptop expecting to get a chance to write but was thwarted both by lack of time – loads of work, loads of eating and drinking and loads of ‘networking’ (something I really can’t be bothered with!) and also by the fact that my creaky old laptop that still requires to be plugged into a phone (yes THAT old) seems to have been blocked form internet access. I can get iinto the firm’s intranet and read my email and all the exciting HR pronouncements, but nothing useful.
So – sorry again. Sometime soon I’ll get a chance to read and write. We have to live in hope eh? Floorboards are creaking above me. Any moment some bleary-eyed offspring from my loins will appear and give me that silent challenge as to my right to use my own computer.
