Very quick update as I'm supposed to be ill in bed. Well - I am 'ill', a bit flu-ish, but I haven't made it to bed yet. But there's no-one in the house so I can let you know things...

Firstly, Wednesday afternoon I spent a very pleasant hour and a bit with the lovely Avalonte/reborn and her delightful daughter K. My 'first time' meeting a real live d-land friend, her fourth. An experience we'll be repeating whenever we can. Isn't it strange though? - knowing so much about someone, and them knowing such a lot about me. AND THERE WERE SECRETS.

Thursday morning I woke up feeling a bit dodgy, went into work but gave up by lunchtime, came home and just wen to bed for fifteen hours.

I've been a bit concerned about Jo. Earlier in the week she was saying that Dave had gone to Vancouver, and so I was expecting her to be able to be in contact more regulalrly but there has been nothing in our secret account since Monday night.

Today I got into work, feeling not a lot better but needing to fet a couple of things done before the end of the week and went through the messages and missed calls. And there was her home number! For a second I thought maybe Dave was back here but it didn't seem likely he would call me...so I tried it and got a very sleepy Jo.

'It was meant to be a surprise. I called you yesterday afternoon hoping you'd be able to get out to meet me..'

She's back for two weeks. And even though I don't feel well I'm like a dog with two dicks!

We chatted on the phone for most of an hour. She really isn't well still, and the flight seems to have made things worse - blood vessels broke in her eardrum as they landed at Amsterdam.

More later..
